Get To Know Top Team GOAT Bud Tender Sophia!
How did you become a bud tender?
After working in the food industry for a few years and after leaving college I was in search of something that was fulfilling to me. It was about a year after medical had passed in Oklahoma, I was scrolling through Indeed and saw a budtender position available, so I thought “why not?” and went ahead and applied. Long story short, I finally have found something that fulfills me. I never would have thought my journey would end up here over 2 years later!
What’s the best part about working here at Goat House?
The team. You need a strong support system when working in cannabis, you need people who you trust and can rely on. We all work so well together. You feel a difference whenever you work with people who love what they do. It starts from the top too so having Dan as the big boss man sets the tone for what it’s like working for this company.
Favorite thing to do with your free time?
I’m a big book worm. I love to read and can sit for hours to just do that. Thrift shopping, finding new coffee shops, and cooking new vegetarian food too. I love being outside any chance I get so camping, hiking, riding my bike, and exploring are some of my favorite ways to spend my time.
What kind of music are you into?
My music ranges from rap, pop, indie, EDEM, and sometimes a touch of country. I like to say that I can find something I like in every genre!
Favorite flower strain right now? Why?
My top strain I will always pick is New York Sour Diesel. This is a great strain for me in social settings because it has great cerebral effects, elevates my mood, and makes me a little chatty. It gives me a burst of energy too making it a great wake and bake. It has a funk to it which always draws me into a strain from the jump!
What’s your preference: Papers, cones, blunts, bongs, etc?
I’m a cone girl through and through. If anyone wants to be my personal paper roller, let me know! I don’t have the patience! Cones are just quick and easy with still being able to taste what you’re smoking. Blazy Susans are my favorite.
